Technology Lead (1 Year Contract)

The Technology Lead is based out of A+E's Singapore office and is responsible for the information technology needs of that office as well as other regional Asia-Pac offices. The candidate we are looking for will have experience in working across multiple IT disciplines (Infrastructure, Client Support and/or Applications) within the media & broadcast industry. This role will be part of the Global IT Organization based in NY but will be mainly responsible for the day to day technology needs of the Asia-Pac region and more specifically the Singapore office. The candidate should be comfortable working with other IT teams in NY and London and be able to communicate status and challenges in a collected and organized manner. This person should have experience working in a matrixed environment and be a hands-on contributor to supporting the technology needs of the office(s). The candidate must be passionate about providing excellent technology customer service and be comfortable interfacing with business stakeholders at a non-technical level.

This is an ideal role for a self-starter that can operate independently with little supervision on the day to day aspects related to supporting an office's technology needs. This person must have a strong technical background that spans a range of technology disciplines (ie. Server, Networking, Client Support, etc). He/She need not be an expert in all of these disciplines but must have enough technical experience to understand and troubleshoot technical issues. This position will be supported by the resources of the Corporate IT group when more specific expertise is necessary, however, this person will be the primary on the ground support lead for the onsite infrastructure and sytems.

We are looking for a candidate with good solid understanding of IT along with some level of experience in a FEW of the following areas. The candidate need not be an expert in every discipline below but solid understanding in 1 or 2 areas below along with experience and/or understanding of some other disciplines would be preferred:

Requirements

Senior Manager, Advertising Sales

Reporting to the Head of Advertising Sales, you will be responsible for supporting the AETN Business in South East Asia and markets within the territories as may be assigned, delivering Advertising Sales revenue to meet the annual targets. You will engage with Clients and Agencies to drive the Ad Sales revenue to build the AETN's presence and increase the Company's brand affinity within the industry.

Responsibilities

Develop to the maximum the advertising sales potential of A+E Networks’ Channels, events, digital business and partnerships across the region through media agencies and clients – Build a client base by setting up meetings with potential clients, assessing their needs and presenting proposals to them
Create solutions for the clients beyond just TVC placements - Understand the need of the client and work with the Sales Solutions team to create concepts for the client.
Strengthen the relationship between the Company and its clients and media agencies in order to achieve the advertising sales budgets for assigned territories
Help devise and implement any and all advertising sales strategies for the Company in support of meeting annual revenue targets.
Support and manage any and all local distributors that may be appointed to sell on behalf of the Company.
Gather and interpret any research the Company may acquire to support advertising sales
Prepare Ad Sales Presentation and make sales presentations to clients
Work with the Production and Content Development Team on providing creative and original solutions for presentation to potential clients
Work closely with the Programming and Marketing teams to help support Ad Sales initiatives, ensuring trade marketing and PR are optimal.
Be responsible for co-ordination with the Company’s “Client Servicing Team”, ensuring contractual obligations are met on event campaigns and broadcast sponsorships.
Stay up-to-date on digital advertising, social media, and native advertising to develop and continually innovate on our Ad Sales opportunities
Submit timely accurate sales reports.
Work closely with the Company’s Client Service and Research team for post campaign analysis and presentations.
Stay ahead of the market situation, highlighting movements of advertisers and competitors.
Manager any all other projects and activities as may be assigned by Head of Advertising Sales for the Company from to time ancillary to the above

Requirements

Over 5years of experience managing integrated brand partnerships
Must be creative, detail oriented, possess a strong work ethic, be willing to learn and have a burning desire to succeed.

Director, Content Partnerships, A+E Digital Studio

Responsible for identifying and implementing revenue growth opportunities for A+E Digital Studios & A+E Network across South East Asia. A “Hunter Position” requiring a self-motivated and entrepreneurial individual. Primary focus would include, selling digital content solutions to brand partners. The role will report into Vice President, Advertising Sales & Digital Partnerships. You will work together in exploring and expanding A+E’s brand awareness and business opportunities through content partnerships that enhance our brand offerings, generating new revenue streams, adding value to the A+E’s audience experience.

Responsibilities

Lead content partnerships, drive revenue through management of brand partners in key business areas like digital, mobile and on ground events. Develop and continually innovate on our offering to advertisers.
Collaborate with Digital, Production, Marketing and Ad Sales to identify key growth areas and present content ideas to bridge the gaps between A+E and the external stakeholders, to grow revenue and expand the reach of A+E’s content across all platforms through a variety of business models.
Maintain top level relationships with digital distributors, developing a deep understanding of their priorities to maximize the value of A+E’s brand and content, establishing and maintaining partnerships across the spectrum of digital distributors to maximize value of our content and brands on these platforms.
Develop and maintain strong relations in the digital media marketplace, to expand advertising opportunities across digital media platforms
Assess and understand the strategic business needs of A+E Networks Asia and use that information to forge long-term strategic partnerships with like-minded companies that help accelerate local/ regional relevance and revenue.

Digital Analyst

Working closely with the Research, Digital Content & Strategy, Marketing & Sales teams, you will be responsible for the digital analytics and data strategy for A+E brands and client brands, improving campaign performances & client offering through research, testing, tracking & insights and audience segmentation.

Responsibilities

Measure and report performance of organic & paid content across all platforms and markets and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
Create weekly insights, monthly reports, quarterly reviews, year on year comparison, campaign reports, competition analysis, listening & brand sentiment reports for both our brands & client brands
Master the analytics and research tools that we subscribe to and become the main ambassador for their usage across departments
Working closely with the Digital team, analyse content and audiences to determine patterns, improve performance & build client offering
Use data to understand the behaviours, attitudes and demographics of the audience
Use data to build a story that describes how advertising impacted business and marketing objectives
Understand and evaluate the research methodologies used by industry research, data and analytics vendors
Monitor data and analytics developments within the advertising industry
Coordinate with regional and international teams to adopt and share insights, reports & tools

Requirements

This position requires both a strategic and tactical viewpoint, aided by intellectual curiosity, strong problem solving skills, and understanding of digital media.

BA/BS degree required. Marketing Research, Mathematics concentration preferred
3+ years’ professional experience analyzing media data. Experience working for a media or digital agency preferred
Proven analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
Knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation
Experience in the analysis of large data sets to find useful relationships
Familiar with Facebook and YouTube native analytic metrics and insights capabilities
Very familiar with social media tools including listening, benchmarking and analytics tools

Operations Senior Manager/Manager (based in Seoul, Korea)

Oversee all of A+E Korea’s operational aspects in keeping to the main strategic priorities of quality, customer service excellence and maximized operational efficiencies.
This includes providing key support to the Korea business and international operations initiatives, including tech launches, project implementation, data capture & tracking, and new corporate & regional technology roll-outs. The role also requires managing vendors and their operational performance, to ensure that internal processes serve the business needs.

Responsibilities

Daily management of operations matters, including allocation of tasks, projects & responsibilities. Monitoring of performance, ensuring all operations servicing requirements are met.
Manage the playout & distribution budget and on-air performance. Serves as A+E Korea’s main escalation point in the event of any on air discrepancy or potential operational issues. This is to ensure that viewership experience and interaction levels of A+E Korea channels/platforms is always of the highest possible quality.
Oversee the budget and materials delivery/enhancement (e.g. subtitling, dubbing, promos) operations required for the different brands under the A+E banner, for linear and non-linear platforms. Ensure that business needs are communicated and that all internal and external parties are clear on timeframes and deliverables.
Oversee or directly manage internal or external teams on operational projects. Create a structured framework and timeline, make sure that milestones are met and align resources to ensure the success of each project.
Work closely with International Ops teams (including Production & Fulfillment) to address regional technical workflow challenges; identify and implement quick & efficient solutions.
Contribute to Projects across the International Ops team, including business analyses, metadata capture and tracking, workflow designs, new technology implementations, vendor reviews, service enhancement etc.
Regularly update broadcast industry database with key developments, trends and information, sharing with the business to improve servicing and knowledge. Share info with key teams within the business and regional partners.
Budget and cost management, including, monitoring of vendor invoices and tracking costs against planned expenditure.

Experience & Skills Required

Experience in Media/Broadcast Operations (for a Broadcast Channel, OTT platform or Service Provider).
Experience in Media/Broadcast Content management: File types, storage, movement, encoding, transcoding, systems, MAM, CMS.
Experience in team management/supervision.
Understanding of broadcast workflows including production, post, transmission and distribution.
Project management experience including launching new channels & services.
Excellent Korean & English written & oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to analyze Operations’ issues and provide creative solutions to complex problems.
Confidence, persistence and the capacity to influence internal and external partners & clients.
Data gathering & analyses skills, including report writing and presenting information clearly.
Highly motivated, action focused and results oriented.
Sharp focus on the details involved in technical operations workflows, but also the capacity to see the top line global view and business strategy & implications of operations.
