Director, Content Partnerships, A+E Digital Studio

The Director, Content Partnerships role is responsible for identifying and implementing revenue growth opportunities for A+E Digital Studios & A+E Network across South East Asia. A “Hunter Position” requiring a self-motivated and entrepreneurial individual. Primary focus would include, selling digital content solutions to brand partners. The role will report into Vice President, Advertising Sales & Digital Partnerships. You will work together in exploring and expanding A+E’s brand awareness and business opportunities through content partnerships that enhance our brand offerings, generating new revenue streams, adding value to the A+E’s audience experience.

Role

Lead content partnerships, drive revenue through management of brand partners in key business areas like digital, mobile and on ground events. Develop and continually innovate on our offering to advertisers.
Collaborate with Digital, Production, Marketing and Ad Sales to identify key growth areas and present content ideas to bridge the gaps between A+E and the external stakeholders, to grow revenue and expand the reach of A+E’s content across all platforms through a variety of business models.
Maintain top level relationships with digital distributors, developing a deep understanding of their priorities to maximize the value of A+E’s brand and content, establishing and maintaining partnerships across the spectrum of digital distributors to maximize value of our content and brands on these platforms.
Develop and maintain strong relations in the digital media marketplace, to expand advertising opportunities across digital media platforms
Assess and understand the strategic business needs of A+E Networks Asia and use that information to forge long-term strategic partnerships with like-minded companies that help accelerate local/ regional relevance and revenue.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive campaigns on-air, on-line, and on-ground and ensure projects are completed in line with the creative direction & channels’ strategies. Align executions of deliverables with management of partner/client relationships for efficient delivery. Oversee the flawless executions of these initiatives.
Expertly and persuasively pitch and sell-in strategic partnership ideas to internal teams and external partners. Optimize communication within a global team & multi-local market environment to expedite negotiation and consolidation of partnership opportunities

Requirements

Over 7 years of experience in content sales or brand partnerships
Must be passionate, creative, detail oriented, possess a strong work ethic, be willing to learn and have a burning desire to succeed
Must possess superior negotiation skills coupled with a net profit bottom line mentality
Persuasive, confident networker and deal maker with a track record of success in growing new markets and partnerships
Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with corporate clients and co-workers
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
Solutions oriented, problem solving mentality a must

VP, Advertising Sales, SEA

The position reports to the Head of Sales of the Company, which is in the business of operating, originating and/or aggregating thematic, factual based documentary and general entertainment television channels and/or programs, web sites and digital media, for distribution in Southeast Asia, including in the following territories: Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Brunei, Laos, Myanmar, Macau, Palau, Papua New Guinea and Mongolia. Specifically, the Position shall:

Advertising Sales (regional from Singapore)

Selling advertising space on the 5 channels to the media agencies and clients
Build a client base by setting up meetings with potential clients, assessing their needs and presenting proposals to them to generate revenue.
Manage Revenue forecasts/reporting, accounts receivables

Create solutions for the clients beyond just TVC placements

Understand the need of the client and work with the Sales Solutions and Partnerships team to create concepts for the client.
Assessment of the clients in the regions and understanding the need gap
To get revenue for the company in an advanced and highly evolving markets

Build Relationships

Interact both formally & informally and creating opportunities
Meetings, industry events and entertaining.
To create more opportunities for A+E Networks and to understand what the clients needs in an effort to design & package proposals to fill those needs

Thailand Rep Management

Work with appointed reps in Thailand to build potential regional business for SEA and other feeds.
Educate rep on the feeds, content and capabilities of A+E Networks.
Create decks and proposals for pitches in the market after being briefed from reps.
Create and attend meetings when required.
Manage Revenue forecasts/reporting, accounts receivables

Malaysia Office Management

Manage the team of 2 in Malaysia. Guide them to generate revenue across A+E businesses.
Identify key regional advertisers in the country.
Build a relationship with the decision maker for regional advertising and pitch to them to grow this revenue from the country
Work with Head of Sales on creating a business strategy in the market.
Look at different models that may work and implement once a decision is made on how to go forward.
Manage Revenue forecasts/reporting, accounts receivables
Oversee the History Con business in the market

Manage Regional Business from Korea and Japan

Work with the local offices in Korea and Japan to build the regional advertising business.
Help identify key clients and opportunities in the market
Liaise with Client Servicing to build pitches for potential advertisers from both markets.
Create a trade marketing strategy with the sales leads in Korea and Japan and implement said strategy.
Manage Revenue forecasts/reporting, accounts receivables.

Senior Manager, Advertising Sales

Reporting to the Head of Advertising Sales, you will be responsible for supporting the AETN Business in South East Asia and markets within the territories as may be assigned, delivering Advertising Sales revenue to meet the annual targets. You will engage with Clients and Agencies to drive the Ad Sales revenue to build the AETN's presence and increase the Company's brand affinity within the industry.

Responsibilities

Develop to the maximum the advertising sales potential of A+E Networks’ Channels, events, digital business and partnerships across the region through media agencies and clients – Build a client base by setting up meetings with potential clients, assessing their needs and presenting proposals to them
Create solutions for the clients beyond just TVC placements - Understand the need of the client and work with the Sales Solutions team to create concepts for the client.
Strengthen the relationship between the Company and its clients and media agencies in order to achieve the advertising sales budgets for assigned territories
Help devise and implement any and all advertising sales strategies for the Company in support of meeting annual revenue targets.
Support and manage any and all local distributors that may be appointed to sell on behalf of the Company.
Gather and interpret any research the Company may acquire to support advertising sales
Prepare Ad Sales Presentation and make sales presentations to clients
Work with the Production and Content Development Team on providing creative and original solutions for presentation to potential clients
Work closely with the Programming and Marketing teams to help support Ad Sales initiatives, ensuring trade marketing and PR are optimal.
Be responsible for co-ordination with the Company’s “Client Servicing Team”, ensuring contractual obligations are met on event campaigns and broadcast sponsorships.
Stay up-to-date on digital advertising, social media, and native advertising to develop and continually innovate on our Ad Sales opportunities
Submit timely accurate sales reports.
Work closely with the Company’s Client Service and Research team for post campaign analysis and presentations.
Stay ahead of the market situation, highlighting movements of advertisers and competitors.
Manager any all other projects and activities as may be assigned by Head of Advertising Sales for the Company from to time ancillary to the above
